As your business grows, the amount of paperwork and other administration tasks increase also. Finding the time to complete all these administration tasks may be difficult, and often may end up being overlooked while you carry out your everyday business. If you overlook certain tasks you may end up with fines or even lose customers. Finding temporary administration cover may be too costly until you have enough work to keep them busy on a part time or full time basis.

A free admin assistant to help your business.

A new apprentice scheme recently launched in Birmingham provides training and work experience for 14 – 16 year old students who wish to train in business administration. This provides them with the skills and experience of working in a business environment, plus an NVQ qualification equal to 5 -6 GCSE’s. There is no cost to the business owner, though you will need to go through the ususal health & safety procedures. You also have to interview the student beforehand the same as any normal job role. Once completed you will have a free admin assistant one day a week.

Many of you may realise that I have never written a blog before. I’m only 14 you see. I am currently working for a small but growing IT company, based in their Birmingham office, doing the admin side of things. I am doing an apprentice scheme where at the end of two years I will come out with the equivalent to 5-6 GCSE’s. The benefits of a serviced office.

I recently decided to take the plunge and moved into my first office, leaving behind the cramped box room, which had been my working environment for the previous 2 years. Having looked at my options, I chose to move into serviced office space in Birmingham, with the added benefit of internet, heating & lighting, plus furniture are all included in the monthly cost.

Having attended many local business exhibitions over the last 12 months, one thing that has always been the focus for many exhibitors is how to attract more visitors to their stand. Many will be offering the usual assortment of pens, keyrings and sweets along with many leaflets, flyers and pamphlets to quickly wear down the attendees.

I recently attended a small exhibition at an Aston Martin showroom, and noticed that many attendees were located around one stand, which had even managed to pull the attention away from the shiny Aston Martin parked in the centre of the showroom.

The main focus of this attention was the 6′ chocolate fountain, with a large selection of sweets, fruit and pastries for visitors to cover in warm creamy chocolate. Not only did this fabulous chocolate waterfall attract visitors, but it also kept them there for enough time for the owner of the stand to chat to them about his services.

A good landing page for your advertising campaign is essential to keep visitors on your site, and more importantly to ensure that they are converted into customers. The following tips below will help you achieve the required result.

1. When creating the landing page ensure that the information clearly states what you are advertising whilst making it easy for the customer to find what they are looking for. Sending them elsewhere may make them reconsider. If the product or service that a customer is searching for is not clearly visible they will leave.

2. Try and keep each landing page individual for the product you are advertising. This will allow you to concentrate on the keywords for that product, and ensure that you are found for relevant searches in the search engines.

3. Focus on the benefits of the product or service that you are advertising, and provide examples of pain points a customer may be experiencing. i.e. Is your computer running slow?

4. Keep your landing page uncluttered, and consider adding a testimonial given to you for that product or service.
